Possible Shoot Report, Hercules

Spoiler Skeptic

Actor, who had posted some info about 'Empty Places' (note: I totally overlooked the change in the episode title, it's been corrected.), on the location shoot in 'The Bronze', has surfaced again at SMGFan.com with information on the finale. He is playing an Ubervamp/Extra in the finale. What he has posted so far is as follows...

So I got there this afternoon. Some of the guys who came in earlier had their wardrobe and prosthetic ubervamp faces already (looked WAY cool/realistic). I was with like 15 other guys, just waiting. Then they took us to wardrobe. It was 2 leotard pieces, with some rags covering us up. I wasn't a big fan of the leotards, haha. My hands were airbrushed pale, then covered with black specs, then sprayed with brown veins. I walked onto the stage we were gonna be shooting at cuz they were shooting some scenes there already and I wanted to take a peek at Sarah, hehe. The stage looked amazing. Half of it was made up to look like a cavern. The other half was a big green screen (which they'll use to digitally make it look like there are 1000's of us ubervamps). I saw Faith, Spike, and some of the Potentials entering the cavern, rehearsing a scene. And SARAH was with them! The first time I ever saw her in person...and yeah, she looked good. Blue jeans, white top (?), hair down (just past her shoulders). We all broke for lunch... I saw Sarah walkin to the lunch line and I just stared at her, haha. She was like "I heard they got a slab of ribs with my name on it." I sat at a table with a couple of the Potentials who I know, and Indigo (Rona). After lunch, we got our masks put on. They were different from the guys who had come in earlier because they were just pullover masks, rather than the cool prosthetic pieces the other guys had. They still looked good, though. They weren't pleasant...it was kinda hard to breathe/see, but oh well, I still had fun. I took a picture of myself in the mirror (I'll get a better one tomorrow). We waited on the stage as they did a couple more shots. Most of us weren't used in the shots, so we're goin back tomorrow to shoot some more. Not much spoilerage except that Buffy does get stabbed. Umm, in order to open the Seal, the potentials had to cut their hands and bleed on it. I don't think Buffy dies because she's in a scene after the battle scene. That's all for now. I'll try and find out more when I go back tomorrow.

Ok, lemme reply to these questions all in one post:

1) Buffy is stabbed in the gut.

2) I dunno if was necessarily "killed" or what, but they just kinda "recycle" us. I was beat down by several potentials, I'll tell ya that, hehe.

3) The set looked awesome! It's just made to look like a big cavern. Stalactites are hangin from the ceiling. Some were pretty low, and people hit their heads on em. There's pebbles and dirt on the floor. At one end, there's a spiral stone staircase leading down to it. On the other end, there's a big ledge that all the Ubervamps are climbing up, and there's a green screen so that they can add in a whole army of em.

4) Sarah's hair looks very similar to the hair she had in season 4. Blonde highlights, I guess kinda bright.

5) No Emma sighting. Apparently Anya's dead already.

Most of the potentials just beat me with the bottom ends of their axes. One whacked me with a spear. I saw a couple potentials with knives, swords, and of course...stakes. Think I saw Kennedy with a crossbow.

No super fun fight moves. Like I said, that was all reserved for the stunt guys. A lot of running, grabbing from behind, and getting knocked over is what I did.

Nope, didn't see Aly there at all. As far as I know, she's doin spells while we're in the battle.

today was a LONG day....

My call time was 12:30pm. Usual routine, got suited up, sprayed, mask on, straight to set. Some more potentials came in to film a separate "sleeping potentials" scene. All of us Ubervamps were placed on the set, fighting with the "fighting potentials." It was actually pretty fun.
The stunt guys did all the fancy stuff. The rest of us just were assigned a potential to attack. We'd attack her, and she'd swing at us, and we'd go down. I was fighting near a girl named Mary, who plays "shannon" (girl who gets stabbed by Caleb at the beginning of "Dirty Girls"). She was really friendly. Her and Kennedy were the only ones without stunt doubles. Buffy, Faith, Spike, Rona, and Vi all had stunt doubles.
They did a really cool shot of Buffy swinging her axe and knockin like 5 Ubervamps off the ledge at the same time. They used wires for that so the guys went flyin. We broke for dinner after a couple scenes, which was nice because we got to take off our masks. They got so annoying.
When we got back, we did some more fighting as Faith discovers that Buffy got stabbed and goes to check on her. As she kneels to tend to Buffy, Buffy hands her her axe and Faith turns around to take out a couple of Ubervamps behind her. As Buffy is laying on the ground, The First approaches her in the form of Buffy herself. The First is exactly like Buffy (same clothes, same stab wound in the gut. She taunts Buffy and Buffy tells her to get away from her.
I dunno if you guys already knew, but Amanda dies We did a really sad shot of everyone fighting, and then Amanda's dead body just drops to the ground, her lifeless eyes looking into the camera and her weapon dropping beside her. I heard the writers decided to kill her because she was the fans' favorite potential and so they wanted to surprise everyone by killing HER.
We did another death scene of one of the potentials. It was an Asian girl (NOT Chao-Ahn, it was an extra). She's fighting, and an Ubervamp grabs her from behind and bites her neck and they just sink to the floor. The last shot we did was Spike hitting an Ubervamp, then the Ubervamp looks around, sees the stairs, runs up them and like 5 of us follow him up there.
I'm guessing those stairs lead up to the Sunnydale High basement where the Seal was, so we're probably gonna get chased and killed before we get up there and feed on humans. We finished shooting for the night at 3AM....yeah, LONG day. Goin back tomorrow too, so you know the drill...more news tomorrow.

Not sure about an earthquake, either. All I know is that Sunnydale High is all screwed up and falling apart. When the surviving potentials leave the battle, stuff in the high school is falling down, so there could be an earthquake.

As far as I'm concerned, Willow's doing spells to help the gang during the battle. Didn't see her. Saw Xander when I firgt got there, but he wasn't in any of our scenes either.
There were 8 "Fighting Potentials" with no lines...plus Kennedy, Rona, Amanda, Shannon, "Injured Girl," Buffy, Faith, and Spike. I guess you could consider it a war. I dunno if it'll be better than "Graduation Day" or "the Girft," but it should be right up there with em. We'll just have to wait and see.
My pics will probbaly take a while, but I'll post em when I get em. Not sure of the circumstances of Buffy being stabbed cuz I didn't see that scene. Close encounters or Sarah/Eliza? Well, in one scene, I had to squeeze in between Buffy and an Ubervamp. I was sitting a few feet away from Eliza, watching the scene between her and Buffy.
Didn't see David. Guess his scenes are all finished.

That's all so far, though I will mention that in another post they say that Anya will die, she will be found dead beneath a pile of rubble (wasn't that supposed to be her fate in Season Five?).

Here are my thoughts. Although it certainly would seem that the info Actor provided for 'Empty Places' was solid, There are a few pros and cons to this info.

I can confirm a few bits of info from another source. On the downside, I can't confirm any of the major details (like the fate of Anya and Amanda).

Second, knowing how these spoilers quickly make the rounds, it seems very risky to discuss details of a shoot while still filming. Again, the minor details aren't really going to be an issue, but I am skeptical of any resports of a major death (and later you'll see why)

Finally, in the original 'Empty Places' report, Actor stated that Nerf Herder appeared at 'The Bronze' in that episode. However, Aversion.com is reporting that they will actually be in the finale. So it would seem that either Nerf Herder appears twice, the scene for the finale was shot early, or one of these two sources got it mixed up.

This could all be good, but at this point I'm really becoming more and more skeptical of info coming out about the finale. Which is why I want to think on it before I update the Spoiler Slayer page. I think I have good reasons, especially in light of the other news that came out today.

Will The Real Finale Please Stand Up

Hercules posted a little bit of info on 'Buffy' and 'Firefly' at Aint It Cool News, the crux of which was a tidbit that was passed along to him.

I could tell you what's in the script, but that's not the be all and end all. [“Buffy” creator and finale writer-director and all-around supergenius Joss Whedon] is filming a BUTTLOAD of unscripted stuff. There's the ending in the script where Xander dies and where Spike dies, but there's another ending where Spike vanishes ... and there's additional stuff that's been shot above and beyond THAT. Joss is determined that THIS unscripted stuff isn't going to get leaked. He wants to go out with a bang
As I said, looking at everything right now with a very skeptical eye.
