Episode 9 Info

But What About Torture?

More info on Episode 9, 'Never Leave Me', came in overnight from ECH at FanForum.

While the gang tries getting to the bottom of Spike's recent bad behavior, they intercept and interrogate an up-to-no-good Andrew, which leads to an intense showdown between the gang and The First along with the international entity responsible for the slayer killings all over the world.

BUFFY AND THE GANG GET ROUGH, VERY ROUGH, WITH SPIKE AND ANDREW TO DISCOVER THE TRUTH BEHIND THE EVIL FORCES PREYING ON THEM.

After giving Spike a brutal third degree about his recent malevolent deeds, Buffy and the gang then kidnap and grill Andrew in a desperate effort to learn more about the growing evil forces that surround them all.

Noted Actor Harris Yulin returns as Quentin Travers of the Watcher’s Council. David Solomon directed the episode from a script by Drew Goddard.

At the same time, Buffy urgently contacts the Watcher’s Council to try to locate Giles in hopes that he may have some answers about the deadly, ever-encroaching evil.

Travers isn't the only watcher to return, as Phillip who was in 'Checkpoint' is also in the cast list. This does point to Giles still being in England at this point, which further strengthens the rumors that he might be the one who brings the Slayers-In-Training with him at the end of Episode 9, beginning of Episode 10. It also shows that Andrew is going to be around for a while as well, so perhaps 'Conversations With Dead People' will be Jonathan's swan song.

In addition, although the most recent batch of spoilers might raise questions about how the Scoobies feel about Spike, I still advise caution. What little I've heard still points to the Scoobies more concerned that they need him and can't find him, rather than needing to find him to stop or stake him.

They're going to need all the help they can find.
