The Oracle, Episode Four

Not Just A Software Company

The Oracle posted a couple new spoilers for Episode Two at the Cross and Stake Message Board.

NEW - In front of a still-clueless Buffy, Spike "attacks" Anya to prove his evilness when Anya realizes he has a soul.

NEW - Xander talks Anya into undoing the curse on the worm man.

NEW - Buffy is introduced to her new job at the school, but her Slayer job becomes an obstacle to her actually starting work.

Spike's attack on Anya has been floating around, and I'm not doubting the info on Buffy's first day of work. Of course, we now have two very good sources giving differing information on exactly what's up with Ronnie/Wormie. Either he's been a demon for quite some time (according to Herc), or Anya has cursed him with a wish (according to the Oracle). The info I have could be read either way, which I mentioned when Herc first posted his information on this episode. So is Ronnie a Worm-Demon or a Wish-Worm. We might have to wait for the episode to find out the answer to this one.

Oh The Pain

Some information on Episode Four was also posted at the Cross and Stake message board yesterday. Since I don't have access to the original source message, I can't credit the source. I know the poster's real name, but I'd prefer not to use that if they used a Nickname on the boards.

"Pain" (Tentative, though)

Willow is back from her summer stay in England. The scoobies have some trouble forgiving her, especially Dawn. Willow breaks down crying in private. Her extreme sorrow apparently attracts a new type of demon who feeds on her sadness and pain. He captures and psychologically torments Willow about what she did, feeding on the pain. After another confrontation with soul-Spike, Buffy finds out that Willow was kidnapped, and eventually saves her from the demon. (My source didn't know the demon's name)

Right off the bat, I should say that this is probably based on information for Episode Three. Beyond that, it's really hard to tell if there is any new information in here. The title does not match the one that is floating around, but that doesn't mean it could be changed (I personally think the 'Same Time, Same Place' title is a bit lame - but it's hard to know basing it off of two pages of script). 'Pain' certainly fits the mood of those two pages, and I think this is a legitimate reason for a demon to be drawn to Willow.

It also shows that Dawn's could have a bit of a chip on her shoulder when it comes to anyone but Buffy and Xander. I certainly haven't failed to notice that these three have become a tight team in these early episodes. With Willow and Giles in England, Spike in Africa, and Anya trying to get back in the vengeance business, it's not unexpected. However, I also think that it may not be unintentional either. You almost have to wonder if Episode Four or Five will be the other three (Willow, Spike and Anya trying to get back into the good graces of the other three).

BTW - The spoilers will be added to the Spoiler Slayer page tomorrow.
