TV Guide, England Shoot, Episode Two Info

Note: I reworded the Spike information a bit, just so that it's a bit clearer in the interpretation. And I've edited it twice now, because it's very hard to interpret the source info. It's very easy to misinterpret, so I'm being as clear as I can be.

Joss Talks

TV Guide posted an interview with Joss at the web site. Most of it is duplication of rumors we have already heard, but it's nice to hear yet another confirmation about the return of some 'Big and Little Bads' from the past. Joss is being pretty cagey about how they are going to appear in the series, and I'm still leaning against the possibility of a shape-changer at this point.

The one actor that the article says won't be returning is Luke Perry, which is not a real surprise to me.

Across The Pond

There was a callsheet for the England shoots posted at a message board last month. I've only come across that info recently, but Wendy (who just updated the Spoiler Zone) has a good recap. It basically offers a little info on Willow's stay in England.

Scans of the callsheet for filming in Bath, England.

Relevant info:
episode 1: Willow collapses.
episode 1: (Act 3, scene 2) Giles understands that Willow is not ready to go back.
episode 2: (Act 2, scene 12) Willow gets ready to leave.

Things We Already Knew

Since some people seem to be of the opinion that I have no independent spoiler sources, and I only cull my information from other sites, what I'm about to post should come as no surprise. Because it's already been posted elsewhere. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a site that has posted this, so I can't provide a link.

Just a little info on Spike's state of mind in Episode Two.

In one scene, Buffy, Spike and Xander will go to confront Anya over services she's been offering to the scorned women of Sunnydale (I don't know if Spike is anything more than an interested observer - Buffy and Xander could just happen to bump into Spike when they discover Anya, and no, Spike is not hanging with Anya at the time)

In another, Spike will be in for a rude surprise while battling the 'Monster of the Week'. It does appear that Spike will be fighting alongside Buffy, although he might be a little too into it (as to what a 'little too into it' really means, I'm torn. Let's just say that's he so wrapped up in attacking the MotW, that he is unable to stop himself in time to avoid the 'rude surprise'. ie: BZZZT!!!)

Hmm, doesn't seem to gel with the rumors I've been hearing that Buffy won't have anything to do with Spike, and certainly isn't being civil to him.

Of course, this information has not appeared anywhere else at this time (yes, I was being sarcastic). Again, this could all be subject to change, but I believe the information to be reliable. The only reason I'm hedging my bets is that this is coming from a new source that I didn't have last season. Until episodes start airing, it's going to be hard to say that this is 100% positive. But it matches information being passed on by sources that I am familiar with, and if it is false spoilage the quality of the raw material is amazing. In fact, I would almost have to deduce that this is false spoilage deliberately planted by Mutant Enemy.

Normally, I don't post spoilage, only that which has been confirmed by other sources. As I've said before, there are situations where I will feel comfortable enough passing along information which may or may not have been confirmed in this manner. I feel it's coming from a legitimate source, so I feel safe in posting it with that caveat.

I would also point out that I have heard rumors as well. In these rumors, Spike's demeanor is different each time. Which means that either all of these rumors are wrong, or Spike is indeed struggling with his newfound soul. It's just too hard to tell at this point, which is why I'm hesitant to discuss the rumored aspects of Spike's personality. It is my opinion that Episode Two is way too early for anything definitive to happen in terms of the Buffy/Spike relationship (either good or bad). I would expect, much like last season, that we will have indications as to what might happen. However, we really won't know for sure until the Sweeps episodes air.

Don't forget, everyone was positive that Buffy/Spike was not going to happen, up until the day the wildfeed for the Musical was available. Even after they kissed, all the naysayers stated that Buffy and Spike would never have sex. Once that went out the window, we heard that it would only be that one time. Obviously, they were wrong on all counts (and don't even get me started on those who swore that Tara would never be killed).

These are the facts as I know them, do with them as you like. If it's wrong, then I'll be the first one to admit it. But for right now, it seems that Spike's relationship with Buffy and the Scoobs will be very similar to late Season Five and perhaps early Season Six.
