TC: Episode 10 Info

'Tru Calling' filming continues, and info has come out on episode 10. Tentatively titled 'Back To School', it reveals among other things, that Tru's secret is not really that secret. connor
Tru Calling: Back To School

The victim this week hits a bit too close home for Tru, or school I should say. That's because death occurs at her High School's five-year reunion.

The victim is Candace, and she is found murdered in the school's swimming pool on the night of the reunion. Back in the day, Candace was the Prom Queen, and there seems to be no end of bitter feelings between her and Tru.

Tru and Luc, Lindsay and Harrison all attend the reunion. Tru refers to Luc as her boyfriend, and since Harrison and Tru aren't twins, I think it's safe to assume that Lindsay (who graduated the same year as Tru), is dating Harrison. Especially in light of the fact that Harrison wants to put the hurt on Lindsay's old High School boyfriend, Keith.

The day begins with everyone having fun at the reunion. Candace has recently split-up with or divorced her High School sweetheart (who coincidentally was Tru's boyfriend before Candace stole him from her), and is being the life of the party. Tru takes a moment to dance with one of her favorite teachers, Mr. Connor, who is still busy writing and still hoping to get published. Meanwhile, Harrison gets into the aforementioned fight.

Tru runs into a number of old friends, including Judy who was captain of the swim team. It appears that Candace and Tru were also members, and that Tru might have even saved Candace from drowning at one time.

At some point Candace is killed and the day resets

First thing, Tru warns Harrison about getting into a fight with Keith. Harrison is a bit disturbed, but not because he wonders how Tru knows this, he's bothered by Tru's newfound ability to relive the day. So both Harrison and Davis are in on the secret at this point. Luc, however, would still seem to be in the dark.

Tru then goes to see Candace at her apartment, to ask her to stay away from the reunion. The meeting doesn't go as well as Tru would expect. Candace doesn't like Tru, and thinks that Tru doesn't want her to go because Candace will steal Tru's thunder. Candace is having none of it, especially since she just completed a book on her high school days that she feels will be a best-seller. She ends the conversation by putting down both Lindsay and Tru (even nailing what 'bad outfit' Tru will be wearing that evening). Which causes Tru to go out and 'borrow' one of Meredith's outfits.

That evening, the reset seems to be a bit different than before. For one, Judy has taken a completely different tone. Rather than just putting down Candace as she had during the first-time through, she seems very jealous of and vindictive towards Candace. She makes reference to a time in the past, when Tru should have let Candace drown. Which leads Tru to the conclusion that Judy is the one who kills Candace.

Tru loses track of Judy at some point and goes out to try and locate both her or Candace. In the meantime, Tru is named Reunion Queen. Harrison, has decided that four fists are better than two, and convinces Luc to help him put the hurt on Keith.

While looking for Judy and Candace, Tru finds Mr. Connor in his classroom grading papers. She explains that Candace is in trouble and she thinks Judy is going to hurt her. Mr. Connor agrees to help look for the pair, and he and Tru go out to find them separately.

While looking, we flashback on previous events, which reveal that Mr. Connor is not only a very unsuccessful writer, but that he's looking over Candace's manuscript. Which is what he is talking to Candace about at the pool when Tru finds them. Turns out that Mr. Connor is jealous of Candace because he never became a success. But with Candace's novel, he can realize that dream. He just has to take care of one loose end, Candace.

Which he is about to do, when Tru turns on the lights and reveals herself. She agrees to not go to the police, as long as Mr. Connor resigns the next day.

That's what I have at the moment

Again, pretty straightforward in plot. It is interesting that Harrison also is aware at this point, and I wouldn't count out Lindsay. I have a feeling, as I mentioned in the info on Episode Nine, that this could be revealed in Episode Eight (which I still have no info on at this point).
