ATS: News Wrap 12/19

Angel News

Seems as if the decision by Sarah not to appear on the show is causing a lot of controversy. First, TV Guide Insider has a brief interview with David Boreanaz (registration required), which definitely has an negative slant on SMG's comments. Then there is an interview with Joss Whedon on the WB's site, which also basically puts the ball in SMG's court.

Personally, I really don't care for stories which focus on the negative. It's not important in terms of spoilers or the show's story, and more often than not the person doing the talking have themselves been on the other side of the argument at some time or another. While I will be happy to see Sarah do an episode or two, I certainly don't consider her to be obligated to do it. It is not her show, nor does she owe 'Angel' anything. It's not like 'Buffy' was a spin-off of 'Angel'. Nuff said.

Well, almost. For an example of what I think a 'good' interview should be, check out this quick one with James Marsters at SciFi Wire. Also good, is Watch With Kristin this week, which features a brief chat with Sarah Thompson about how they kept the return of Lindsey a secret.

It also appears that the next episode of 'Angel' will be HellBound, although no word as to if that will air on December 31st or January 7th.
