ATS: Harm's Way Summary

This summary represents a brief summary of Angel: Harm's Way (Episode 9). This will be updated as news and articles are published. More detailed and complete information can be found in the original articles or additional sources.

The episode focuses on Harmony and is essentially a 'Day In The Life' look at how she interacts with her co-workers at Wolfram and Hart. One of the early scenes has her getting Angel his morning cup of blood, and we get a peek at the employee break room. Several minor characters are introduced, Charlotte, Brittany, and Tamika among others.

Harmony is a bit of an outsider, and that also seems to be a theme in the episode. She doesn't fit in with the office staff, nor with Angel's crew. They 'fang gang' is busy trying to negotiate a peace treaty between two demon tribes, and while Harmony tries to be helpful, the others find her more of a bother than a help. That evening, Harmony and Fred go to a local bar. Harmony is depressed about work and her luck with men (since Spike decides to go find Buffy in this episode), Fred suggests that she talk up one of the guys at the bar. Which she does, and things seem to go well, until she finds him in bed with her the next morning, drained of blood and dead.

It turns out that the man, Tobias, was supposed to be the mediator in the demon negotiations. This proves to be a sticking point with the tribes, until Angel agrees to find the killer. Harmony is not only implicated by having woken up with the body, but a blood test administered to the vamps at work, has revealed that she's drank human blood recently. To cover her tracks, she knocks out the tester, Lorne, and Fred and stuffs them all in a closet.

As the closet is about to get overfilled, it's revealed that there has been some backstabbing going on behind the scenes. Harmony thinks it was one of the guys, Danny, but it turns out to be Tamika. She's not happy that Harmony got chosen to be Angel's assistant over some more experienced workers, like herself. A fight begins between the two, and it turns out that Tamika is also a vampire. The battle winds through the offices, and finally ends at the demon conference, where Harmony dusts Tamika's.

The demon's are satisfied, and Harmony apologizes for the mess (and the unconscious employees in the closet).
