TC: Closure Summary

This represents a brief summary of Tru Calling: Closure (Episode 8). It will be updated as new articles or info is posted. More detailed and complete information can be found in the original articles or additional sources.

A young soldier, Jake, arrives at the morgue. He had been wounded in combat overseas, and died in a local army hospital. He asks for Tru's help.

Tru repeats the day and sneaks to the hospital where Jake is staying. She tries to figure out how she can help him, but all he lets on is that there is something important he needs to do before he dies. He breaks out of the hospital. Tru, not sure where he was going, gets some more info about his condition. He essentially can't be saved, it's just a matter of time before he dies.

Tru manages to track down Jake, and discovers that he's looking for his ex-girlfriend, Bridget. She broke up with him via a 'Dear John' telegram right after he left the country. Tru agrees to help track her down and he agrees to go back to the hospital.

Tru discovers Bridget, and her son Phillip, who's only a year old and looks suspiciously like Jake. Bridget spins a different story, that it was Jake who never spoke to her again after he went overseas. Tru tries to convince her to go to the hospital, but she won't. Tru returns to tell Jake the news.

Bridget, in the meantime, finds out that this was all a plan of her father's. He didn't want her to end up with a soldier, so he sent the telegram. Bridget decides to take Phillip to the see Jake. They have a heartwarming reunion, and Jake passes away. Bridget later admits to Tru that while it's sad that she only saw them briefly, she's happy to have had the chance.
