Spoiler Slayer

Just a brief post today, tomorrow I'll have my thoughts on 'Villains'.

Wendy updated the SpoilerZone and gives her take on the Spike becoming human speculation (for those who are wondering, I still have heard nothing to confirm or deny that info). I've got some thoughts on that and other surprises that might come up in the finale, but I'll save that for the discussion of 'Villains'.

I did update the Buffy Formula to reflect the last episode aired. It should come as no surprise that although it came a bit later in the season, the Buffy Formula is alive and well after taking a season off.

We're also going to see the shortest development time of a 'Big Bad' to date, but considering that Willow's use of magic has been an ongoing theme over several seasons, I'm not too surprised. In fact, that could be the key reason for it happening so late in the season. Willow's become the 'Big Bad', there isn't a lot of elaboration that needs to be done (as compared to gypsy curses, rogue slayers, and Frankenstein creations). It even looks as if the trend of having one of the 'Little Bads' help defeat the 'Big Bad' will also continue. Who knows, from the sounds of it, we might even have our season-ending apocalypse waiting in the wings.

The promo for the Season Finale is up at the Buffy site. In case you didn't pick it up or were curious, it is Rack that is hanging upside down in the scene with Dawn (for some reason, there seems to be a much better shot of Rack in the online promo). Looks like Willow's cutting a pretty wide path through the town. As to why she goes after Rack, my guess is that she figures out that he was helping Warren.
