DLM: Some News

Since 'Dead Like Me' is on hiatus for the moment, there has been very little information to post. There was some news posted at The Futon Critic, which bodes well for the series. Not only is the series coming back for the second season, but it's also getting a boost to it's budget, which will allow for more time for production of each episode.

DLM: Marathon

It's been a while since there has been 'Dead Like Me' news, I would hope with the announcement of some of the returning series to cable, that we might have had a date when the series returns. No luck there, but I did discover when browsing Showtime's site, that they will be airing 5 episodes back-to-back on December 15th. The marathon will begin at 8 PM EST and feature...

Dead Like Me
Dead Girl Walking
Reaping Havoc
My Room
Reaper Madness

If you missed the series the first time around, this is a good opportunity to check it out.

DLM: Season One Ends

Season One for 'Dead Like Me' has wrapped in the States, so I've updated the Spoiler Page to reflect the entire season (versus only the episodes that have not aired). I know that it recently began airing in the UK, and I wouldn't be surprised if it starts showing up in Canada and even Australia over the next few months.

Showtime has committed to a second season, and even mentioned during the closing credits that the show will return next year. Hopefully, we'll be able to get more information on the show in terms of spoilers as interest increases.

Overall, it was a mixed bag in terms of spoilers for the show. While at times it was very accurate, it could also be seen that major and minor changes occurred during the actual filming process. For example, the character of Charlotte was originally cast as being a potential suicide victim that George saves. That's not what happened in the final draft/filming. That woud be a major one, a minor one would be that the victim of the 'Pet Reaper' was originally intended to be a hamster, but ended up being a rabbit.

So no matter what the source, it's going to be a bit trickier with the new series determining what is solid spoilage as opposed to that which may change. But they are in a greater state of flux as opposed to the already established show (which explains why with the numerous reshoots, I'm not sure what to expect for the first episode of 'Tru Calling).

I hope those who watched enjoyed the show, I think it's one of the best new series of the season. Although there is another show that is months away that might beat it as my favorite 'new show' of the year (just a hint, both shows have a common connection).

In the meantime, I'll continue to track news on the show to keep you up to date on all the happenings.

DLM: Returning For Season Two

It's very rare that the simple loading of a website will cause a triumphant WOOT!!! to come out, but that's exactly what happened about a minute ago when I visited The Futon Critic.

Today's feature story is the renewal of perhaps the best new show of the season, 'Dead Like Me'. Showtime has asked for a 15 episode run for Season Two, which will start filming in February or March of next year.

A fan of the site, Ajay, also wrote to let me know that the series will begin airing on Sky One in the UK this Friday.

Dead Like Me Spoilers Coming...

Managed to get the 'Dead Like Me' spoiler page up with some spoilers on it, and most of the episode titles that I was able to dig up. Over the next week or so, I'm going to add more spoilers and information on the episodes. However, due to the late start, most of the info I've bee able to get is for the later shows.

So my goal is to try and scrounge up some more spoilers (or even summaries) for the episodes that should air throughout July and August.
