AM Update The Bronze VIP

AM Update

The Bronze VIP Archive has Steven DeKnight's visit posted.

Fraz, who posted the UPN's breakdown of Feb. Sweeps, has also posted promo info for 'Dead Things' at FanForum. It fits what we've heard so far, but I'm scratching my head wondering why the network released this info before the info for 'Doublemeat Palace'. Either I missed it, or nobody ever posted it to the boards.

The following was posted by DrLloyd on the Essence of Amber forum, he isn't 100% on this source, but it has been reliable at least once in the past.

Don't have much new to report. I was away over the holidays so I didn't see my source, but a friend of mine ran into him at a club this weekend. She mentioned some of the speculation running rampant on the bulletin boards. He confirmed that:

-Indeed, Tara is a goner, and it will somehow be Willow's fault (although Willow will not actually kill her). On a side note, he said that AB was very sweet and he was sorry to see her go, as some of the other cast members are a little more, um, high -maintenence.

-The "Warren kills his girlfriend" rumors are true, Warren gets even more evil.

-Spike does not rape Buffy, although the relationship kind of unhinges her, it becomes very clearly self-destructive sex (on a personal note I find this kind of sad that when a woman finally has some satisfying sex she has to feel guilty and be punished, but whatever).

It seems like the spoilers on the B C & S have been pretty accurate based on what he said, so that is probably a good place to look for on-going info.

Though I couldn't find the original post, I did come across this spoilage that was supposedly posted at the Cross and Stake Spoiler Board.

I have doubts about this spoiler simply because the source, a friend from another board, has never produced a spoiler before. Therefore treat the following as rumour only.

Riley's return to Sunnydale, as the happily married man, is an incredible shock to Buffy. However a confession from Riley to Xander regarding true love causes Xander to evaluate his impending marriage to Anya when he learns Riley's heart is still set on the slayer.

I don't put much into this one, it retreads the original confession Riley made to Xander about Buffy. I also have doubts that Riley, good guy that he is, would ever get married if he wasn't sure. I would expect him to at least try to give Buffy one more chance if he wasn't sure. Also, the underlying suggestion is that Xander is still in love with Buffy, which makes me all the more doubtful. It's just too far out in the future to get a good fix on just yet, it could have some truth to it, but that's all going to depend on what happens when Anya's friend drops by for a visit.

On a strange note, the 'Spike has a twin' speculation has been gathering some momentum. It all goes back to Doc's confusion about who Spike was, when he called him 'Rocko'. One intrepid fan has discovered what seems to be an actor who looks like James Marsters, in the background of the farewell scene with Giles in 'Bargaining'. I was able to see the footage myself, and there is a resemblence. You could almost think it was Spike, except he was dressed differently, was hanging out in daylight, and boarding the plane with Giles. I don't think this has anything to do with the show or the plot. It could either be an extra that had similar looks to James, or it could even be his stunt double ( I seem to recall that this has happened in the past.) If there was anything to it, I think it would have been noticed before now, and done in more than one episode. I think that people have been simply reading too much into Doc's comments about Rocko, there really is nothing behind it.

Note for Monday: I know many go to the Cross and Stake Spoiler board to get the Wildfeed Summary. Because of increasing traffic to the messageboards, Leoff has created a site for his Wildfeed Summary. The new address is www.leoffonline.com and I'll be adding it to the Daily Reads this weekend.

The PM Update will be the second part of the BSD post. Until then...
