No new spoilers, so just

No new spoilers, so just a few quick notes on the articles from yesterday.

The interesting tidbits were that Dru may well return this season, Michelle has been asked about a spinoff or continuation of the show, and more waffling from the writers on how 'evil' Spike really is. Dru makes sense, although they are supposed to be restricted in terms of crossovers. Then again, Dru may appear in another flashback episode, which really wouldn't involve her in current day Sunnydale. That does make quite a bit of sense, as we are learning more about why there is such a difference between early Season Two Spike and late Season Two Spike. Since he was originally supposed to die, probably in the collapse of the church, his early actions were extremely harsh and violent. Once they decided to keep him, there was a fair bit of revision in the character over the final half of Season Two. Episodes like 'Fool For Love' serve to both fill out the character and soften him even more. Yes, he's still a killer, but the edges aren't as rough as before. I think that if the writers do plan on something happening between Spike and Buffy, they will need to fill in a few more blanks, otherwise there are many fans who won't be able to swallow it.

Which could explain why there seems to be a great deal of discussion among the writers about the purpose of soul, and what makes a person good or evil. This season is about growing up, could Spike be growing as well. It will be interesting to see. Just as it's interesting to hear about Michelle being asked about future involvement in the show. Since we know that Dawn is practically a part of Buffy (which is why the blood worked to seal the portal), could she also share that Slayer trait. Unfortunately, if they did go that route, then Faith would have to die. It's just good to see that there may well be a future after Sarah leaves. Of course, they could always do a pre-Buffy or post-Buffy series, so I think the franchise will have a long future ahead of it.
