ATS: Episode 10 Summary

Pandora at Mythical Boards has posted the summary for Episode 10 (and earlier in the thread, Wendy drops some spoilage of her own).

To access the spoiler section of the Angel Board, you do have to be registered. Since none of the recent summaries note that it can be reposted elsewhere, I don't want to cause any waves and repost it in full here. However, if you choose not to register, it has been reposted at the Angel's Soul Board.

As usual with most summaries, I will recap some of the highlights below.
Angel: Episode 10

Just a heads up, this is a very convoluted episode, even reading through the summary several times, it's really not clear what is real and what is not.

- Angel is having nightmares throughout the episode, most of which focus on Spike taking over Angel's role as Champion.
- Spike is approached by a man, named Sean, in a strip club. Who says that he's having visions and offers the role of Champion to Spike. (Note: Wendy reports that Sean seems to be written as Glenn Quinn would have spoken, but that another source claims that Sean is really Lindsey and Christian Kane will return for this episode).
- Spike's becoming a Champion is very reminiscent of the first season of 'Angel'.
- Angel dreams that Spike saves the world from Armageddon, where he is made human by the blue fairy.
- Apparently, the entire scheme is a plot hatched by Eve and Sean, who have planted a parasite on Angel.
- Lots of interesting hallucinations/dreams for Angel. Including Fred ripping out his guts, Spike having sex with Buffy, and Wesley staking him.
- The episode ends with Spike ripping the parasite off of Angel, saving him.
- Angel blames Eve, as she was the one who planted the parasite in his dreams. She says it was just another hallucination, but Angel doesn't believe her. He thinks Eve is acting on her own, against the wishes of the Senior Partner, but Eve tells him not to be so sure of things.
Overall, looks to be an interesting episode, though it's very hard to figure out how much of this is reality and how much of it is Angel's dream. If I had to guess, I would assume that the only real bit is Angel being attacked by the parasite and Spike saving him. But it's hard to tell from the summary.

No sign of Andrew, so he may not show up until the beginning of 'Damage'. There is a short gap between Dana's escape and Angel and Spike's arrival at the asylum. The only reason I'm speculating this, is that Spike's conversation with Andrew seems to indicate that he's already been to Wolfram and Hart and has been around at least a bit.

As for the Christian Kane rumor, the only reason I would be skeptical is that it doesn't fit with the character. Wendy is correct, Glenn Quinn would have been the perfect choice to replay his role as Doyle. She even indicates that as written, Sean speaks just like Doyle. But Lindsey fought against the Champion, on the side of Wolfram and Hart. If you were to cast anyone, I personally would have gone with Max Perlich and have him reprise his role of 'Whistler'.

In the end, I think anything that comes out on this episode, should be taken with a grain of salt. Only because the entire episode revolves around hallucinations/dreams. Anything goes.
