Friday Update - Angel X

Slow news day, I'm out tonight, so I'm only going to do a single update today. I'm also going to go out on a limb (although when I've done this in the past, we've had a flood of spoilage) and say that there's likely to be little spoilage through the end of the season. Shooting is over, which means that it's unlikely that we will see much more in the way of scripts or casting sides. It's possible that some scripts may surface, but normally things fall silent through the finale. Certain details will continue to be revealed in the Episode summaries that TV Guide posts, and there is the possibility that some reviewer copies could be sent out, but more than likely we're not going to hear much until the Wildfeeds air.

Entropy Tidbit

Angel X posted a bit of clarification on the events in 'Entropy'

Anya, Spike, Xander, Buffy...they all have some shread of blame in this. Anya and Spike both have full knowledge of what they're doing. Spike deserves to be thrown around a bit... and really, that's all it is. He's up and sticking his foot in his mouth in a matter of seconds. He's the show's punching bag. Always has been, always will be... this really isn't a special occasion.

Buffy and Xander both hurt the ones that loved them very much. And earlier in the episode, Buffy and Xander yet again manage to say the things that hurt their formers again. The denial of love, the denial of wanting to marry... to Anya and Spike, that hurts like hell. Revenge is usually the first thing people think of when they have a broken heart. And however unintentional, Anya and Spike get their revenge. They don't do it purposely to hurt Buffy or Xander, but they do and they deserve to be faulted for that. They are drunk, needy, and have a lot of common complaints about their lives and former lovers.

However wrong or hurtful... everyone really plays a pretty equal part in it all. Anya's the only one with *intent* to hurt her former, but the way she ultimately gets her revenge is anything but planned. It's all a bunch of unfortunate truths and occurances, but really nothing that one person can be singled out for blame. In their own ways, everyone makes a big mistake and like everyone else on the show... they're going to have to face the consequences.
