Saturday Update - Location Shoot, Quotes, Episode Nineteen Redux

Wasn't Sunnydale Supposed To Be A Small Town?

It's certainly come a long way from the one-Starbuck's town of Season One. Two colleges, a University, A Heliport, an Airport, a Dam and now an Amusement Park?

ScoopMe.com posted the following information on a location shoot, which should likely appear in Episode Nineteen.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer abandoned the comfy confines of Hollywood to embark upon a rare location shoot at Six Flags Magic Mountain, ScoopMe.com has learned. The park, located in Valencia approximately 35 miles north of Los Angeles, hosted the crew and select cast members on Thursday, February 28, and Friday, March 1. Filming began late in the afternoon on both days, with the second day of shooting lasting until the wee hours of Saturday morning.

The crew used the Cyclone Bay section of Magic Mountain as the backdrop for episode nineteen, written by Steve DeKnight. The entire cast did not make the half hour trip up Interstate 5, as the two-night shoot only required the presence of Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and the Nerd Trio of Warren (Adam Busch), Jonathan (Danny Strong), and Andrew (Tom Lenk). As such, fans can expect an intense confrontation between the title heroine and her current foes – or nemisis-ees, as they call themselves.

Facades were used to cover some elements of Cyclone Bay, but most of SFMM’s original landscaping will be seen in the final cut. The park is not going to be mentioned on the show, since the script called for a generic amusement park look for the episode, and not necessarily a thrill theme park.

What's My Line

Putting A Stake In It

With the ScoopMe information, the spoilers passed along by 'Random Person' were already looking iffy. It turns out that they posted further spoilage on Episode Nineteen late last night. Which fails to mention the amusement park (which is kind of an important detail which is excluded, especially if you have minor ones like Xander saving Anya and Willow.) If there is a showdown at the amusement park, I would expect that would be where the Troika is hiding out. Which means that they gang won't be fighting them alongside Buffy. My gut instinct tells me, that with the discrepancies I had already seen in addition to these, it's safe to presume that all of the spoilers from this source are 'Highly Unlikely'.
