Monday Update New spoilage from

Monday Update

New spoilage from Herc at AICN. Out of the entire article, a couple of things I want to mention.

Herc, like most of the rest of us, is trying to place whether the death in 'Dead Things' is related to the major character death. The read I'm getting from his comments, is that whatever character which is going to die, will be on the outs with the gang when it happens. That considered, there's still a question of what makes one a Scooby. Is it simply knowing who Buffy is and helping her fight her battles. Then in a way, Amy and Jonathan could almost be considered members. In terms of whether or not this rumor is connected to the events of 'Dead Things', my opinion is that it will be a character more along the lines of Deputy Mayor Finch. Someone who we've seen a couple of times, but never really made a huge impression. I think that the repercussions are going to come from Buffy's belief that she was responsible (more on this death in a moment).

The other mention is further clarification of the Xander/Anya wedding spoiler. Which fits the anonymous spoilage Wendy got at the BAPS board two weeks ago. Which puts me in a weird position, because although it sounds like a Buffy episode, I can't see when they are going to fit the wedding into the storyline. With all that is happening right now, I just don't see us suddenly having a 'wedding episode' pop up. My own hunch is that either the wedding will occur right before the Season's Climax (Prom) or immediately after (Restless). Not that I'm disbelieving the spoilers, just can't figure out how they're going to manage to fit it in.

Angel X also posted more information on the death, stating...

I have a general question about the person who dies in Episode 13: is it a character who has been featured on Buffy this season, or could it be a character who was on Buffy in the past, but hasn't been seen yet this season?

This is the last I'm saying about anything until next year: It is not someone we have seen this season

I've also heard (but haven't seen the post), that it is not the social worker. So is it a character from the past or is it someone new, I really can't say myself. I'm still thinking that it's human, and that it won't be a major character. However, the speculation is running rampant on the boards, so let's try to clear things up a bit.

There will be a death in 'Dead Things', but everything points to it NOT being the death that Wendy, Wanda, Herc and Sweetie have referred to in the past.

Sometime, and it could be near the end of Sweeps or the end of the Season, a MAJOR character will die.

Wendy says that it's Tara, Wanda hints that it has to do with a four-letter word, Herc says that it's someone who either is or at one time was a Scooby. I know that people attach significance to the four-letter word comment Wanda made, but you should not assume that it would mean a character with a four-letter name. If anything, she was referring to how Joss likes tragic endings to L-O-V-E storylines. Which paints a pretty big bullseye on Tara, Spike, and Anya. That kind of shuffles Tara to the top of my list of possible candidates, even with the comments Marti made in the Tribune Media interview. I know a lot of fans are placing faith in that interview, but would you really expect her to come out and say 'Yep, you're right. We're going to have a demon kill her, and Willow's going to blame herself and go off the deep end, and then Giles is going to come back and kill Spike...' Which also means we should take this next article with a grain of salt as well...

Zap2It did a feature on the Troika, which has all kinds of interesting tidbits (including confirmation about exactly when Britney Spears was supposed to be in the show). My one complaint, is that when Adam Busch talks about finding out things from the internet, he says 'I don't get told anything. These kids guess better than I'm told.'. I hate to tell him, but this kid is more than 10 years his senior.

Until tomorrow.
