ATS: Fury Interview

An interview with David Fury appears in this month's Dreamwatch magazine. While I have not seen it myself, Fraz posted some of the key points from the interview at the Angel's Soul Spoiler Board. Nothing very spoilerly, but the key points...

- David Fury will write episode 8 and write and direct the 100th episode (5.12)
- The budget is tighter, which is why so many plots are Wolfram and Hart based
- Angel and Spike will continue to have their differences throughout the season (no big surprise there)

Finally, Fraz feels that in reading between the lines, there are some hints that if the show doesn't perform, the WB may not run a full-season.

I'm not terribly concerned about seeing the season reach completion, as I remember the same rumors floating about Buffy last season. I think with the emphasis that the WB is putting on the show, and if they don't start moving it around the schedule, things should go well. Adding a strong character from Buffy certainly won't hurt, and a cameo here and there from the Scooby Gang could also add a nice boost.

Even the budget is understandable, especially if you consider that while we might have lost two regulars from last season, we've added two or maybe three more (depends on how you classify Harmony and Eve).
